The annual School Fete or Fair is a major fundraising activity undertaken by the school's P&F or P&C Association. Many months of intense planning and organsation is required, to ensure a profit outcome for all parties involved.
Amusement Rides play a vital role in the success of school fetes, acting as a major drawcard, source of income, and essential form of family entertainment.
Entry to rides at school fetes, is normally via a single ticket, or Ride Pass/wristband which gives the purchaser free access to rides throughout the event. For a Ride Pass format to be successful, the ride package needs to include attractions that:
A large percentage of children who attend fetes and fairs, are students enrolled at the school itself, who range in age from Prep through to Primary. Older and younger siblings also attend along with children from the general local community.
The 5 to 15 year age group has proven to be the main purchasers of tickets and ride passes. To make the Ride Pass attractive and a viable option on the day, the amusements should be appealing to ages 5 to 15 years. Depending on the size of the school, a Trackless Train or Toddler Bouncer may also included for the real littlies.
Petting Zoos are great entertainers for the younger children, and make an excellent addition to the Ride Pass. Petting Zoos are often sponsored by local councillors, politicians or businesses, with entry for wristband putchasers via Gold Coin donation.
The biggest complaint received by Fete organisers after the event, is about long queues. To keep the queues on rides down to a reasonable level (no more than 20 minutes), the rides themselves must feature high capacity and throughput.
If there is sufficient attractions present to give wristband purchasers at least 10 rides on the day, everyone get's great value and goes home pleased.
The Super Slide and Tea Cups are traditional fete favoutites, and normally the first items booked by fete committees. Dodgem Cars are also extremely popular along with Inflatable Obstacles Courses. Having variety is the key, as children enjoy participating in a range of activities whether it be spinning, sliding, bouncing, bumping or climbing.
We go to great lengths to ensure our amusement equipment is maintained, set up and supervised in the safest manner possible. We ensure all riders meet each attraction's height and size requirements, and behave in a proper and safe manner during each ride.

In addition to the amusement rides, we can organise Stilt Walkers and Superheroes within each ride package. Roving entertainers add fun, colour, character and spectacle to school fetes and fairs as they interect with the public, pose for photos etc.
No school fete is complete without the traditional sweet flavours of our fairground Fun Foods Fairy Floss, Snow Cones and Popcorn. All Fun Foods are available on either a Flat-rate Hire or Share of Sales basis.
