Amusement rides and attractions can be booked either on an 80/20 Share of Sales or Flat-rate hire format.
Funfair Amusements is contracted by the Event Organiser to supply an agreed number and type of amusement rides for an event. Entry to the rides on the day of the event is via Ride Passes and Tickets. The rides are supplied by Funfair Amusements at no cost to the Event Organiser. At the completion of the event, Funfair pays the event organiser 20% of Total Ride Pass and Ticket Sales.
Funfair Amusements is booked by the Event Organiser (Hirer) to supply an agreed number and type of amusement rides for the event, and for a fixed operating period (usually 4-5 hours). The Hirer pays a set fee for each amusement ride provided. The Hirer decides whether access to the attractions on the day of the event is either free of charge or via tickets/ride passes. The Hirer decides on all pricing, organises ticket, pass sales etc.
Yes, providing your event is of sufficent size. The cost of providing amusement rides is very high - staff wages, insurance, transport, generators, maintenance etc. We need to earn a certain amount per attraction from our share of sales to cover our costs and make a reasonable profit. The larger the attraction, the higher the cost of supply, and the more we need to earn to make a profit on that attraction.
Large community festivals, along with fetes and fairs held at schools with at least 150 children enrolled.
Yes. Generally, the larger the school, the more the rides will earn at the fete, and the higher the number of rides we can supply on a Share of Sales basis. The size of the rides also effects quantity supplied also. We need to earn more from Dodgem Cars as three Cup & Saucer rides. Over the past 25 years, we have attended 1,000 + fetes and fairs, so we have a good idea what the ride sales will be at most school-based events. Once we have estimated total ride sales, we put together a number of ride packages in our quote based on projected turnover.
20% of total sales. This includes pre-sold Ride Pass sales, Pass sales on the day and single ticket sales on the day. We DO NOT deduct any costs from the sales amount.
All tickets and wristbands are consecutively numbered. We also welcome a volunteer from the event organising group to assist in the ticket booth throughout the event.
If the rides are booked on a Share of Sales format, we receive 80% of total sales. If the rides do not operate due to inclement weather, we receive no income and suggest Pre sold pass sales be credited to another similar event at a later date that year. We accept all risks as to weather and attendance, when rides are supplied on a Share of Sales basis.
We require a 20% deposit with all Flat-rate hire bookings. If an event is postponed due to wet weather, the deposit is transferable to another date that year.
Once the rides are set up, the full hire fee will be due irrespective of weather conditions or sales. Our costs increase substantially when operating in wet weather, as all attractions must be set up after the event in our storage sheds, then washed, cleaned and dried. Inflatables can take days to dry out. If this is not not correctly, the vinyl will soon be covered in mould - often permanently.
Yes, we have single phase generators for small events, and large three-phase generators for events where multiple attractions are booked. Lighting is included for evening events
